Hassells Sennebogen Trentham Event gets off the ground!
08 April 2009
The change to British Summer Time saw Hassells
and Sennebogen on show at Trentham Gardens near Stoke on Trent,
Staffordshire. With easy parking and all the attractions of the
Trentham Gardens and Estate to experience, the shows visitors
were able to “mix business with pleasure.”
Business was centred on the Marquee and dedicated trade only
Show areas and Demonstration zone where visitors were able to
see the Sennebogen Greenline Material handlers at close
quarters. The 821, and the latest D-series machines; the new 825
and 830 machines were all on display.
All the German made Sennebogen’s were put through their paces by
customers, many of who were expert drivers. The quietness of the
machines and driver comfort level was commented on regularly
throughout the show. The sheer power was clear too as one
visitor commented “there is no comparison with my old
machine – absolutely stunning!”
Both the Scrap Metal and Waste Management industries were both
well represented at this inaugural event.
Centre stage was the 305 Multihandler, complete with its
incredible power, reach and manoeuvrability was a much requested
demo. In particular the gains in operational efficiency and
improved safety from the 4m elevated cab were noted by many
waste professionals. The weather changed too from a wintery
Saturday to a glorious “Summertime” Sunday. Pleasure for some
came in form of a ride on the huge Ferris wheel offering superb
views over the Trentham Gardens and Lakes and down to the show
area below. One visitor was spotted waiting patiently as his
wife visited yet another of the huge selection of shops before
taking in a civilised late lunch.
The usual Hassells informality was there and the quality of the
Sennebogen Greenline machines did the “talking” to potential
customers.
Hassells and Sennebogen should be commended for getting out
there and flying the flag.
