Fussey Piling invests in more Sennebogen machines
02 June 2008
Working all over the UK, Fussey Piling Limited is
one of the leading steel sheet piling contractors. Established
in 1972 the company has more than 35 years experience serving
the construction and building industry.
Having previously invested in two Sennebogen HD 630 telescopic
crawler cranes the company has now added a third brand new HD
643R telescopic crawler crane to its impressive plant fleet.
The new Sennebogen HD 643R supersedes the HD 630 and reflects a
new dimension in lifting, providing a strong, dynamic swing
drive for fast working cycles this compact and efficient
telescopic crane can be put to optimum use in very confined work
spaces – whether on construction site, in tunnelling, on tight
inner city job sites or industrial premises.
With a full powered, hydraulically extendable 4-section
telescopic main boom length of 30 metres it features a folding
type fly jib of 6.5 -13 metres.
Weighing in at 42.5 tonnes the machine incorporates a rear
counterweight of 7 tonnes, plus an additional carbody weight of
4 tonnes. This has been specified over the standard
counterweight of 5 tonnes providing an improved duty table.
Finally, the 643R is powered by a 135 kW Deutz engine, with the
operator residing in the latest MAXI type operators cabin.
Currently working on various UK projects the new 643R is pulling
its weight for Fussey Piling.
Graham Hall, Contracts Director,
commented, “This crane is a real asset to our operation. Working
exclusively with our Stillworker ‘silent and vibration free’
pile driving machines the speed of set up is something to be
seen. Being just 3.0m wide and less than 10.m for transportation
it can be employed almost anywhere within minutes of arriving on
site. Sennebogen was certainly our first choice when adding to
our fleet.”
