Byzak invest in Sennebogen machines!

30 May 2008

Hassell’s have recently supplied a number of Sennebogen machines to UK leading contractor Byzak.

Originally formed in 1984 as Kennedy Construction Ltd, the name Byzak was adopted in 1997 following a management buy-out from the Kennedy Group. Byzak's core business remains that of multidisciplinary main contractor for public sector clients who include water companies and water authorities, local authorities and government agencies.
Whilst water and environmental sectors remain central to Byzak's business, their ability to deliver on time and within budget has encouraged diversification into other sectors including general infrastructure works and the process and pharmaceutical industries. With capabilities in civil engineering electrical and mechanical disciplines Byzak is a comprehensive project provider.

Byzak has long been a supporter of Sennebogen products taking delivery of a number of machines some five years ago. Supplied by E H Hassell Byzak received two 630RHD - 40 tonne telescopic cranes, one 640HD lattice boom and one HPC40 truck crane.

Recent acquisitions have included two Sennebogen 680HD lattice boom crawler cranes which feature a hydraulically extendable undercarriage. With a main boom length of 48.5 metres these machines include an auxiliary jib for loads up to 12 tons and a 24.3.metre long Fly Jib; both machines were also supplied with Wylie safe load indicator with data logger and slew restrictor and a hydraulically elevated C270type, F2000 cabin.

Jim Matheson, Plant Manager, commented “Sennebogen produce an extensive range of machines that meet our requirements and provide excellent value. Since delivery of the first Sennebogen machine in January 2002 we have had very close on 100% availability. The service provided by engineers from both E.H.Hassell and Sennebogen have helped achieve this.”
