Third Sennebogen crane for Heathrow Terminal 5.

E.H.Hassell, UK dealer for Sennebogen cranes has delivered a new 680HD (80 tonne capacity) lattice boom crawler crane to Magnor Plant Hire for work on the Heathrow terminal five project. The new 680HD specification includes two 160kn crane winches, a 48.5 metre main boom and an auxiliary jib.
Utilising a counterweight of 25 tonnes, it is fitted with a Wylie safe load indicator, model 3000. This state-of-the-art crane also features a hydraulically elevating cab that can rise up to 2.7 metres and is powered by a Caterpillar C9 260kw diesel engine.
Magnor Plant Hire, the plant company of the constructions brands group Morgan Sindall plc have invested heavily in Sennebogen cranes for the tunnelling work they are carrying out on the terminal five project. This is the second new 680HD and is in addition to a 640HD 50 tonne capacity lattice boom crawler crane acquired in August 2003.
