In 1974 in a small workshop on the outskirts of Stoke on Trent Ernest Haig Hassell and his sons established the Hassell company.
Starting with only a few employees the company supplied Mechanical Engineering Services principally to the Quarrying Industry. With this small beginning and many years of experience the company soon needed additional workshop capacity. With an interim move to rented workshops north of the city, a prime site was eventually secured at Trentham in 1985 and it was there that the companies activities have grown , providing products and services to a variety of industries.
In 1998 the Sennebogen distributorship was agreed and Sennebogen cranes were slowly but surely established in the UK and Ireland. This business now being an important area of the companies activities.
Two years later Hassell began the design and development of a range of heavy duty tracked hopper feeders, this equipment will form a major part of the companies business in its traditional supply to the quarrying industry and other associated industries handling bulk materials.
In January 2005 E.H.Hassell and Sons Ltd of Stoke on Trent became the nominated distributor for the range of Sennebogen Green Line Material Handlers for all industries in the GB and N.Ireland. The distributorship will also cover the Port Sector in Ireland.
The Sennebogen Green Line offers a wide range of machines suitable for handling scrap, timber and sand and gravel; additionally the range covers most applications in the port, recycling and the waste handling industries. Hassell have been the Sennebogen Crane Distributor for the past six years and have successfully taken a large percentage of the UK Crawler Crane Market, including some Harbour Mobile Crane business within the Port Sector.
The new arrangements between Sennebogen and Hassell include sales of both new and used machines, including a full parts and after sales service.
Having the full Sennebogen product line Hassell have the opportunity to substantially strengthen Sennebogen’s name throughout the dealer territory.
